Oil Storage Tank Inspections/Service

Oil storage tanks are available in a number of liquid fuel capacities and in plastic or steel, single skinned or Bunded (Double Skinned).

 

Why it is important to have your oil storage tank inspected a minimum of every 12 months?

 

1). To ensure the oil tank is in good condition and not developing any faults that may cause it to leak.

2). To ensure its location is suitable and there have not been any changes to the environment which may have an affect on your oil tank or vise-versa.

3). To ensure the stand or base upon which it sits is safe and not likely to collapse.

4). To ensure all safety & user controls are functioning correctly.

5). To ensure the tank does not contain water (or other contaminants) likely to affect your boiler, range cooker or stove.

6). To identify potential problems and sort them out before they become bigger issues.

7). To assess the ongoing condition of your oil storage tank and determine if a replacement is required.
